Proudly set on the brow of Gerringong hill, this three level residence has been designed by Realize so that each level gazes towards the distant Berry Downs and the Illawarra escarpment. With rift splitting the house into halves, the two parts now adjoin across a double height chasm and hold each other in place. Within are a young family and their future.

This new residence incorporates:

  • Sculpted-stone walls facing each other across the schism with double height glazed end infills. This void splits the Kitchen, formal Dining and Living room from the Study and Family room located to the south. All open out onto patios that embrace the cooling breeze, warming sunlight and the awesome views.
  • A superior upper level where the Master Bedroom, with its retreat and enormous patio is set across a bridge from the children's rooms. The portcullis is hidden.
  • A reflective pool within the Living level terrace provides opportunity for a cooling dip and refreshing relaxation.
  • A lower level that incorporates cars and precious wine.

Realize chose a colour palette that gives the house a local feel and finish. The house blends with both its country and coastal location.
